Maternity Clothes

Maternity clothing is sized according to your pre-pregnant size. Do not order a larger size unless your bust has increased more than 3 inches. If in doubt email us at info@bumpsmaternity.com for confirmation of your size. Maternity clothing is cut a little more generously than you may be used to but don't worry your bump will soon grow into it. Also our skirts and dresses are always cut so that the hem hangs evenly front and back as your bump grows and because your breasts will get bigger, shirts and dresses are cut a little more generously across the top so they will feel comfortable right through your pregnancy

Lengths are measured against a UK size 12, from under the waistband on skirts, centre back on dresses and inside leg on trousers and shorts.

Elasticised waistbands on maternity clothing (where stated) have adjustable button elastic. For comfort and fit simply adjust the width by moving from one buttonhole to the next as your bump grows.

 

Bravado Nursing Bras

During pregnancy, most women will increase one full size or more in both the cup and the rib band (i.e. from a 36C - 38D).

Between 48 and 72 hours after birth, your breasts will increase at least one full cup size or more (i.e. from a D to a full DD or more), while your rib cage will gradually start shrinking back to your pre-pregnancy size (i.e. from a 38 to a 36).

Bravado bras come in 4 rib band sizes and 3 cup styles, each with specific support features. Because your breasts will change size throughout your pregnancy, and even during the day when you are nursing, all of the sizes overlap.

First Communion Dresses

Our collection of first holy communion dresses are made to average UK sizing, please see chart below for exact dimensions.

As guidance, each girl's communion dress is sized accordingly to her height.

When taking your little girl's measurements, make sure she's standing in bare feet, back straight, looking ahead, against a flat surface, a wall would be the best place for this. With a pencil mark the top of her head, so now you have her actual height. Once you have done this, stand her forward a little bit and then measure her around the waist and chest.

We recommend that you allow a couple of centimetres extra in the waist and the chest areas so the dress is not too tight on her.
